Eligibility for UG

Students who have passed Higher Secondary Examination (HSC) under Academic Stream / Senior Secondary Certificate Examination of Central Board (CBSE) or other equivalent examinations as recognized by the Periyar University are eligible to join Under Graduate Courses.

Eligibility for PG

Eligibility for joining PG Courses are mentioned in their respective courses.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for admissions to UG degree courses will be 21 (Twenty one) years as on 1st July 2025.

• For SC/ST/BC/MBC/DNC candidates and women candidates the age limit is relaxed by 3 years.
• For other communities the principals can relax up to 3 years based on merit.
• A relaxation of five years is permitted for the physically handicapped as per G.O. Ms.No.239, dated 03.09.1993.

Qualifying Diploma (Lateral Entry – II Year)

Courses for which Lateral Entry Admission is permitted:

Choice Based Credit System (CBCS)

From the academic year 2008-2009 Periyar University Examinations are being conducted on the basis of CBCS pattern.

Enclosures

Attested photocopies of the following certificates must be enclosed:

• Transfer Certificate
• Mark Sheet of Qualifying Examination (10th, 11th, 12th, UG & PG)
• Community Certificate
• Migration Certificate (for CBSE candidates)
• Four Passport Size Photographs
• Eligibility Certificate from Periyar University (for CBSE / Other States / Other Countries – PG)
• Photo Copy of Aadhar Card (Colour) & Bank Passbook

Payment of Fee

• Fees can be paid in 4 easy equal instalments per year.
• Fund or fee instructed by the University or Government will be collected from time to time.
• University examination fee is collected with receipt.
