Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

About the Committee

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Jayam Arts and Science College was established in 2025 with a specific focus on preventing and addressing sexual harassment within the campus. The ICC functions as a grievance redressal mechanism, conducting impartial investigations, recommending corrective actions, and fostering awareness. By promoting gender sensitivity and legal compliance, the ICC plays a crucial role in upholding dignity, equality, and security for women in both professional and academic settings.

Objectives of an ICC

  • To prevent sexual harassment
  • To receive, investigate, and resolve complaints of sexual harassment in a fair, confidential, and timely manner.
  • To create a safe and secure environment
  • To conduct training sessions and awareness programs on campus related to anti-harassment policies.
  • To foster a culture of respect, dignity, and gender equality in the organization.

  • Accept and register complaints of sexual harassment confidentially.
  • Provide a safe and supportive platform for victims to share their grievances.
  • Ensure that the complainant does not face retaliation or victimization.
